Alexandre Vassiliev has designed for the following companies: the Scottish Ballet in Glasgow (U.K.); the Royal Ballet of Flanders (Belgium); National Ballet in Lisbon (Portugal); the Teatro Communale and the Balleto di Toscano (Italy); the Thyssen Foundation in Lugano (Switzerland); Guangzhou Ballet and Hong Kong Ballet (China); Singapore Dance Theatre; Asami Maki Ballet in Tokyo and the Masako Ohya Ballet in Osaka (Japan); the Ballet West, Cincinnati Balet and Willis Ballet (USA); the Opera and Ballet of Santiago (Chile); the National Ballet (Mexico); National Ballet of Latvia; among others.

He has designed the following ballets: Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, La Bayadere, Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella, Raymonda, Don Quixote, Antony and Cleopatra, Gisele, The Nutcracker, Three Sisters, The Idiot, Anna Karenina, The Queen of Spades, The Three Musketeers, La Traviata, Gaite, Parisienne, The Storm, Paquita and The Harem.

In the world of ballet, he has worked with stars such as Maya Plissetskaya, Galina and Valery Panov, Eugene Poliakov, Lynn Seymour, Galina Samsova, Andre Prokovsky, Peter Anastos, Nina Ananiashvilli and Ben van Cauwenbergh.
