Alexandre Vassiliev has designed for the following opera
companies: the State Opera of Bonn and the State Opera of Weisbaden (Germany); the National Opera and Theatre
in Reykjavik (Iceland); the State Opera in Ankara, Mersin and Istanbul (Turkey); Opera Atelier in Toronto (Canada);
the Opera and Ballet of Santiago (Chile); the National Opera in Warsaw (Poland); the
National Opera in Vilnius (Lithuania); and the National Opera in Riga (Latvia) among others
He has designed the following operas: The Marriage of Figaro, The Puritans, The
Tales of Hoffman, Carmen, Anna Bolena, Eugene Onegin, Prince Igor, Louisa Miller, I Pagliacci, Orfeo
ed Euridice and the operetta Madame Pompadour.
In the world of opera, he has worked with Basil Coleman, Carlo Maestrini,
Yuri Liubimov, Stevka Efstatieva, Alessandra Ruffini, Marylin Mims, Dennis O’Neill and Herve Niquet.
